The inspiration for this graduation collection, Divine Mortality, emerged from Sandro Botticelli’s Renaissance painting, The Birth of Venus. The collection explores the contrast of being divine and mortal according to the visual definition of Botticelli, showcasing key elements of fluidity, femininity and purity keeping the collection in only whites and nudes. Echoing the superb and lavish expression of the Renaissance picture, the collection is created in opulent cashmere wool, silk organza and nappa leather. Wrinkles, pleats and 3-dimensional pattern development is key for the collection.
